Alois started playing table tennis at just 5 years old, dedicating countless hours to perfecting his skills. By 9, he was competing, and throughout his junior career, he dominated the State Junior championships, winning titles across all age groups from Under 10 to Under
As an elite player, Alois won two State Men's Singles titles and two National Doubles titles.
He represented Australia internationally, playing on the National Senior team from to , competing in two World Championships and the Asian Championships in Shenzhen, China.
In , Alois shifted his focus toward coaching and quickly became a pivotal figure in developing the sport at all levels. As the Development Manager for the State Table Tennis Association, he coached school children, senior players, and even co-authored the "TOPS Table Tennis Manual," now part of the ITTF Level 1 Coaching course.
Alois’s coaching journey has included guiding National Junior champions and Olympic athletes.

Co-founding PingSkills allowed him to share his love for the sport with players around the world.Notably, he coached the Australian Olympic Team at the Athens Olympics and managed the Commonwealth Games Men's team in Manchester Alois Rosario has been a coach at several Paralympic Games, including the London Paralympics, the Rio Paralympics, the Tokyo Paralympics, and the France Paralympics. At the Rio Games, his coaching efforts contributed to Samuel Von Einem winning a silver medal in the Men’s Singles Class 11 event, which was Australia’s first table tennis medal at the Paralympics since His passion for coaching extends to players of all abilities, from beginners to professionals, sharing his love for the game and helping others reach their full potential.
Jeff's journey in table tennis began at the local association in Canberra, Australia. Although the competition was modest, his passion and dedication quickly saw him rise to the top of the local rankings. In , Jeff claimed the Australian Under 15 Singles title and was the runner-up in the Under 17 category that same year.
At the age of 18, Jeff made the bold decision to move from his hometown of Canberra to Melbourne, a km journey, in pursuit of his dream to represent Australia at the highest level of table tennis.
Despite facing setbacks and struggling to make it into the Australian Senior National Team, Jeff’s determination never wavered.
Through hard work and resilience, Jeff eventually earned his place on the Senior National Team, representing Australia in various international tournaments. Although he was briefly dropped from the team in due to new coaching and training standards, Jeff’s commitment to the sport paid off.
In a triumphant return, he won the qualification tournament for the Sydney Olympics, achieving the rare honor of representing his country at a home Olympics.
Today, Jeff is passionate about helping others achieve their table tennis goals, whether that’s becoming the best player in their local club or striving for international competition.

A reward for Samuel Von Einem, it was also a reward for Alois Rosario whose commitment to table tennis never diminishes. The table tennis community has been recently saddened to hear that his mother Prisca Nunes Rosario passed away on Tuesday 4th April. Prisca was 85 years old, and has made an enormous contribution to table tennis, first as a champion player in India then later as a player, coach and official in Australia. She represented Victoria and Australia for many decades including successfully participating at National and World Veteran Championships until very recently.Our members range from beginners picking up the bat for the first time to seasoned competitors sharpening their skills.
