Samantha Giancola (born March 14, )[2] also known as Sammi Sweetheart,[3] is an American television personality. She is best known as one of the eight main cast members in the MTV reality series Jersey Shore.

Early life

Raised in Hazlet, New Jersey,[5] Giancola is of Italian and Greek descent.[6] She attended Raritan High School from to , where she played softball, ran track, and was a four-year varsity soccer letter winner. Giancola won art contests when she was younger.[7]

She went on to major in sociology at William Paterson University, where she also played as a midfielder on their Division III women's soccer team.[4]

Career

Jersey Shore

Giancola debuted on the MTV reality show Jersey Shore in August She has since appeared with her cast mates on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Ellen DeGeneres Show, The Wendy Williams Show, and Live with Regis and Kelly.

Giancola and her Jersey Shore co-stars appeared in the film The Three Stooges.[8][9] She later appeared on some episodes of Snooki & Jwoww and participated in the E! special Reunion Road Trip: Return to the Jersey Shore.

In , Giancola announced she would not return for the Jersey Shore reboot, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, to avoid "potentially toxic situations" and to focus on her "businesses and relationship."[3]

In , Giancola announced she would return to Jersey Shore after an year hiatus.[10]

Other ventures

In , Giancola endorsed a fragrance called Dangerous, available for both men and women.

She later endorsed another fragrance, Dangerous Desires.[11]

In , Giancola launched her online clothing and accessories line, Sweetheart Styles.[12][13]

In , Giancola became a co-host on the podcast called Just Sayin, where she joins relationship expert Siggy Flicker and TV host Clare Galterio to discuss their respective personal lives and celebrity rumors.

The podcast is made in New York City through the Loud Speakers Network. The podcast ran for episodes from August to November [14]

Personal life

Sammi began a volatile on-off relationship with castmate Ronnie Ortiz-Magro during Jersey Shore's original run from to Their relationship lasted for several years, before the two broke up in [15]

In , Giancola started dating YouTuber and entrepreneur Christian Biscardi.

The pair got engaged on March 5, [16] Initially planning to wed in , the COVID pandemic upended their plans. Giancola confirmed their separation via her social media in July of [17]

On August 1, , Giancola started dating bartender Justin May.[18][19][20] The couple got engaged on March 16, [21]
